Minka Dink London is a rapidly growing fashion brand based in London. Our aim is to create versatile and timeless clothing to suit every occasion. We are looking for a Product Design and Development intern to join our team in London for 3 months over the summer.

This is an opportunity for a creative and detail-orientated individual to gain a hands-on experience in the end-to-end product development process. You will work closely with the Founder and Garment Tech to bring new collections to life from concept to production. You’ll be involved across all areas such as trend research, sketching, fabric sourcing, sampling, and liaising with manufacturers.

Design & Research

• Assist in trend forecasting and market research to inspire new collections
• Support the Founder in creating mood boards, sketches and technical drawings 
• Research fabrics, trims, various fastenings and other materials that align with our brand aesthetic and designs 

Collaboration & Innovation

• Brainstorm new product ideas that align with Minka Dink’s brand identity and customer 
• Support in developing versatile, trans-seasonal pieces that align with our brand
• Create styling mood boards for new products and collections 
• Work alongside the marketing team for product launches 

Ad Hoc

• Helping in our summer pop up as and when you are needed
• Assist the marketing team on important ecommerce and campaign photoshoots 

Essential 

• Aged 20+ 
• Currently studying or completed a degree in fashion design or similar 
• Experience with garment construction, tech pack creation and sketching
• Knowledge of sustainable and ethical fashion practices 

Desired 

• Previous experience using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop for fashion design 
• Knowledge of Excel and Google Docs

Personal Attributes 

• Very creative with a passion for fashion design and product development 
• Strong research and analytic skills to identify trends, fabrics and production techniques 
• Excellent time management and organisational skills 
• A proactive team player who is eager to learn and contribute ideas.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once.
